Lost to Hull KR last night, now 4 defeats on the run. Appear to have no leadership on the pitch, clueless in attack and sometimes laughable defence. Most of the time its one man rugby and on the rare times they do pass it is so slow that the defence is already up and in their face. Leeds and KR 2 of the teams Wigan have lost to are average at best but were made to look good, they seemed faster, sharper and fitter than Wigan. Several good prospects in the Wigan team but they are starting to look very dispondent. Stains on Wednesday, one can but live in hope.
PS
Rory Kettlewell went off with what appeared to be a bad knee injury, after 1 of Wigans all to few flowing moves which nearly resulted in a try. Hope it looked worse than what it is as he looks a prospect for the future

It looked to me as if the half backs didn't know each other!!!
Think they should be introduced to on another before the next game is played

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

It's worth bearing in mind that we've basically been putting out an U16's side, as most of the U18's are playing in the U20s (because the U20's are all in the first team!).
The team that played last night was missing King, Murphy, Russell, Powell, L. Tomkins, Thornley, Hughes, Burke & Harrison, all of whom qualify at U18 level.

I do feel sorry for them Geoff, it seems ridiculous that we haven't got enough players & the lads from HKR looked a lot older & lot lot bigger than our lads.GeoffN wrote:It's worth bearing in mind that we've basically been putting out an U16's side, as most of the U18's are playing in the U20s (because the U20's are all in the first team!).

Re: U18,s Whats Happening
Only 2 were U16s, Connor Farrell and Chris Taylor, and they were 2 of the better players, most of the rest are in their 2nd/3rd year with 1 or 2 brought in this season. I think Wigan actually had the better players, but KR were the better team.
