Life of Brian: funniest film ever?

Got anything else on your mind that isn't about the Warriors? If you do, this is the place to post.

Blazing saddles is my favourite.

For Python films can't decide between Life of Brian and Holy Grail. The former probably wins just cos it annoyed so many religious nutters.

It would be interesting to see how much the the three men and a dog in Christian Voice would kick off over it theese days. The fact that they tried to ban Jerry Springer the Musical before it was even broadcast by the BBC on the grounds that it portrayed Christ as gay suggests they would have a fit if someone tried to remake The Life of Brian.

saw a clip once of John Cleese and Michael Palin on a channel 4 Monty Python night a couple of years ago and they were on a talk show with a preist and the arch bishop and they were ranting and raving on how they have had it banned from some cinemas because its offensive then Michael Palin turns round and says all that happens with Jesus is he is seen on a rock preeching to his followers and as the camera pans to the back of the crowd someone shouts 'speak up' and when he said it the audience laughed and the preist and arch bishop just looked embarrassed.

a very funny clip if someone hasn't seen the film yet is this

this really does have to be my most favourite scene!

apparently, the extras hired to be guards weren't told anything about the script, but were only told "you're not allowed to laugh".

Hot Shots, Naked Gun, Airplane all very funny films.

Holy Grail is a classic

One of my fave funny films (although its not what you would call an out and out comedy) is Office Space, anyone who works a desk job like IT or in Admin watch it and you will prob be in stiches over how true to life it is
