Who decides the shortlist?
I think it should be Pat, but am surprised Lockers isn't in there

absolutely, o loughlin's been outstanding this season (again). i think if they could pick from anyone and not from a short list then he would have got pretty close as i think the players really appreciate how good he is.

that would not surprise me in the least. Neither would it if kfc got it.
Having said that although it hurts to say he has been a very good player for his team and all through superleague.
Think he should get somet like acheivement award not M O S.
Maguire is already up for oscar nominations after last match.

Plus the one for his fantastic acting during the CC game, where Liam Farrell got sin binned for apparently knocking him out!!! :sly:
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

This year’s winner will be revealed at the gala Man of Steel dinner in Manchester on Monday September 27, when a number of other awards, including Coach of the Year and Young Player of the Year, will also be presented.

Anyone know when the result will be leaked before this evening?

:D
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.
