Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Terry Newton RIP
such a sad end...
Terry always took the time to speak to the fans, he played with passion for his Rugby and the team shirt he wore.

With Regret - Terry Newton
It is with deep regret that the Wigan Club have today learned of the death of former player Terry Newton.
Terry played for the Warriors between 2000 and 2005 making 185 appearances scoring 74 tries and was also capped by Great Britain. Terry also played for Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls.
Chairman Ian Lenagan said,
"Everyone at the Club is devastated by the news and we would like to pass on our deepest condolences to Terry's family and friends at this time. Terry will be remembered as a great player of this Club and Rugby League in general and he was a larger than life character."
RFL Chairman Richard Lewis added,
"We are deeply shocked and saddened by the news of Terry's untimely death. This is a personal tragedy and our thoughts are with Terry's partner, his children and his family at this terrible time."
