Eddie's comments were very much a cheap shot which he probably thought was "serious journalism". It wasn't - it was vulgar and insensitive, especially as the comments were made in front of two of Tez's friends.

The simple fact of the matter was that Tez made a mistake in life, something that everyone does to different magnitudes in their daily lives.

I will remember him as the great player he was for club and country long after Mr Hemmings has the good grace to retire.

at the end of the day eddie has done a lot for rugby league. terry did in fact cheat and openly and honestly admitted it. it was in poor taste but i would like to stick up for eddie on this one and i believe he regrets it now
