Both Moimoi and Rapira have pulled out of the NZ squad through injury and personal reasons and are front rowers, but still no call up for Jeff Lima.

You would like to think he should be good enough to get a place in that squad. Obviously not in Kearney's eyes.

Having a shocker. Lima is not in the NZ squad. I repeat not in the NZ squad.

Dublin is fantastic by the way

I was wondering about that as well. I wasn't surprised that Hoffman wasn't considered. Given that Kearney knows Lima well, maybe we should be concerned he will be another Seuseu?
(I'm not actually worried, as my trust in Madge is absolute).

Im not too worried for 2 reasons.

1) international selection is not always on whos best just look at england tony clubb says everything you need to know.

2) Lima is replacing Feka, so in essence if he is a better player than feka he will still improve our team whether he's a current international or not.

you have to focus on who the players are replacing rather than their stance in the NRL or International stage and for me all the players coming in are superior to all the players going out (Riddell and Finch do play different positions but i think there's still a step up in class there) so our team will be stronger than the team th totally dominated this year

good times ahead me thinks

He will need to be significantly better than Feka if he is to win the fans round. IMO, Feka was the most popular player since Hendy, 25 years ago! :)

There's a decent thread on RLfans about all 3 Melbourne players well worth a read, can't link it from my phone or I would.

Hendy played a season on one fit leg and fan did not even blink when he got shunted off to Bradford. Fans are sentimental post playing careers but IMO as brutal as one can be playing wise.

Lima will do a decent job based on what Madge wants. I believe Asotasi was not selected either for NZ? Not a huge fan of Feka personally, terribly over rated by many fans IMO.

That's the point. He will never go down as one of our best ever props but his popularity knew no bounds!

Wonder who the next one will be?
