Just renewed mine online. Out of interest, do we get new tickets or just carry on using old ones?

Definitely got a new one last year because my 2009 ticket is now stuck over the bar at the Wigan Bar in Benalmedina!

is Benalmadina still an horrendous building site where you can't get from the hotels to the beach without climbing over scaffolding or squeezing through queuing cars?

No way Pedro. Been going there for a few years now and its never been like that!

I usually stay at La Carihuela which is the next beach down, just past the Marina. But I always visit the Wigan Bar. John & Sue used to have the Park at Ince and they are Wigan Rugby daft. Shirts all over the walls.

And she does bloody good jackbit an all!

I went to Benalmadena 3 years running I think it was '02, '03 and '04 and Benalmadena was as I described the 2nd and 3rd time I went with roadworks and building works from start to finish. It was so bad in the 3rd year that we left my mates time-share apartment (which didn't cost us anything) after only 2 nights and booked into a place in Fuengirola which is a far more relaxed feel to it anyway imo. To be fair it was in the offseason (between Christmas Easter) and therefore the best time to be doing building work and fixing the roads but getting woken up to the sound of pneumatic drills, workmen shouting to each other and car horns was pretty hard to bare and the traffic was horrendous. I didn't think it would always be like that by any means but I have a lot of bad luck with holidays.
