It's a bit narrow, just looking at the final score. So, we lost today therefore we were rubbish. Does that mean that if we'd scraped a drop goal to win by one point (like against Widnes) then we'd have played well just because we won? I saw the same amount of today's game as Pedro, for the same reasons, so can't really comment but there's no denying a team can play badly but win, and conversly play well but lose. The opposition have a little bit of influence on the final result, after all!

I'm not saying just look at the scoreline, but a draw today would have been fair for both teams, we both played well, but i just thought today wigan played exceptionally better than they have been doing! I'm just objecting to the fact he listened to it on the radio and said it sounded like we played crap, when we played really well!

I think it's fair to say we're having a bad season. Look at the squad we had two seasons ago that reached the GF against the odds, then look how we let so many players go last season and poorly recruited this season and then lost top players to injury, most notably Hock and O'Loughlin, then we lost our best player to go and play Union.

Is it any wonder that we are playing poorly? Putting Brown at fullback isn't ideal, nor is having a second row full of youngsters (and Tickle & Wild who aren't much older). Our half backs have played only a few games together.

Today we played a lot, lot better than we have done in past weeks, we weren't good enough for the win and we were unlucky not to get the try at the end, but we were also lucky with some decisions. We got a goal line drop out when they passed it 'backwards' behind the goal line and I'm not convinced that Aspinwall's try was from a Warrington knock on.

One thing I will ask is how can Betts be slated for his team selection? Any team he picks will struggle with any other top 6 side because of injuries and lack of depth.

Compared to past weeks we played well, Orr and Moran's kicking was good. I've called Vaealiki in past weeks but I thought he was good today, especially going forward. Hansen, again played well, great strength considering he's not huge, same with Tickle, quality as ever. I thought Brownie played well at full back, he did what was required. Seuseu was runnign strong today and I thought Godwin played superb when he came on for Newton (rib injury?). Most noticable though was the attitude of the players, they wanted to win and this was helped by a good away support.

So, for all you people that say today was terrible, try looking at things in perspective, we've had terrible luck with injuries, lost too many players to be at our best but we played a much improved game this week. We can carry this into next week where we have home advantage and we've a good chance of winning. I've resigned to the fact that we won't finish top of SL this season but we will make the play-offs. What we need to do now is get our coach, Denis Betts, to choose the players he wants to build the squad for next season.

Yeah, you can sulk today as well, I must admit I did as we left the stadium as I felt robbed with that decision at the end. As I calmed down though on my long drive home I began to think more objectively. Relative to last weeks performance we were superb.

Agree with your player analyses, on the whole. I agree Godwin played well, but we seemed to lose some composure when Newton went off, I thought. (and that's something I never thought I'd be saying!).
