Re: Catalans away
It'll be a four hour coach trip.
Ryanair fly direct to Montpellier from Leeds Bradford, so that may be an option.
Flights are currently £61 with Ryanair, but you have to fly out Wednesday and return the following Wednesday. Great for anyone who wants to make a weeks holiday.

I live up in Edinburgh and usually make a few trips down per season to watch the warriors, looking at going to the Catalans away game for my stag do but getting there from Edinburgh is pretty pricey. Does anyone know of any companies offering packages to the catalans games? Ideally leaving on Fri 3rd June and going home on the Sunday
Cheers

Re: Catalans away
Take the train up from spain. 2 hours from Barcelona > Perpignan so I guess 2 hours from the spanish border (calella/girona) to montpellier. worth a look... quite cheap also on euro tickets.
The bear, I don't think there will be any special trips organised flight-wise for the trip by and travel company due to having the need to fill a plane... best bet is to mix and match different airports (marseille, perpignan, carcassone, toulouse, montpellier)

eg would be Barcelona > Montpellier: £53 so a bit cheaper closer to the border.

How far away is montpellier from all other common airports? Which is the best/closest to fly to for a short break?

Stop sitting on the fence you lot and say what you think!
its not an easy one this year, thats for sure.
the option of just doing a couple of nights hardly exists.
there are plenty of ways it can be done and no doubt there will be a load of us there as always.

I might be up for a week there. It was my first ever foreign holiday destination. Bet we could organise a cheap holiday and take the match in for half the price of the 2 night jaunt!wm_warrior wrote:Anyone else planning on staying in calella and gettin a coach to montpellier?????????
