IL enquired about the old Nexus nightclub to make it loke an Ausie League club but the owners wanted an extortionate amount to sell it. The North Stand bar (marquee) may be open, I can see the Red Robin being packed from about 3 p.m.
I understand that Straw but if I was the owner of such a unit I would if legal look top cash in on big events. Mind you the way property prices are going IL might be able to pick it up on the cheap in 6 months or so.

You're welcome to that place. Bad beer served in disgusting plastic glasses!

Very true! The Pear Tree is the nearest good option - excellent beer, and only 10 mins walk to the ground!

CP. That place opened up as Kudos when Robin Park was complete. 1500 capacity, it was the biggest nightclub in the region. Went tits up within 12 months and been pretty much empty ever since. I shudder to think what it must be like inside!

Another thought. How many Season Ticket Holders who are SSB regulars don't come on here. Could be a PR disaster!

With this, people not having their own seats and people having to pay parking charges I think people are forgetting that this is a final, not a league game and that the fact we are playing in Wigan is a bonus, not the norm. If this match was at a neutral venue there would be none of these complaints but since its organised by the RFL it was always going to be more like an international than a normal league game, just think of it as being at another ground that happens to be in Wigan. And it will save a thread from season ticket holders who are upset they aren't getting their usual complementary back massage. :) PS I hate the fact so many people go who aren't interested in these type of games but the RFL need sponsorship and quite frankly if I was offered a freeby to the FA cup final I'd probably stay in the bar and make the most of the free drinks and I'm sure many others would do the same :)

  all you season ticket holders will get an idea what its like being treated like a second class fan when you walk past the back of the South Stand and see people enjoying themselves in the bar you're not allowed to go in lol. Used to enjoy going into the bar at Knowsley road before games despite the fact that we weren't even Saints fans let alone season ticket holders but quickly realised we weren't welcome in the bar at our own club for some reason. I learnt to accept rules are rules and its a shame that some can't accept the WCC is organised by the RFL and as such the fact you happen to hold a season ticket for league games is totally irrelevant and so it should be. As I said in my previous post you should think yourselves lucky its being played at our home ground because it very rarely happens. Go to the match, enjoy the game and mix with us plebs afterwards at a normal pub and I hope it doesn't ruin the day for you too much after all its the first WCC we've been in for years. What a bunch of whingers ;)
