We have had our banter but today it is all about the mighty St George taking the trophy home!

Taking the trophy home? I didn't think there was a trophy for the runners upSt_Jubbsy wrote:We have had our banter but today it is all about the mighty St George taking the trophy home!

WIGAN TILL I DIE
Re: Go you St George!
St-Jubbsy you mentioned in previous posts that you had visited many of our country's attractions and that you had had a very good time. You are now entering the best tourist attraction that Britain can provide. And that is the wonderful town of Wigan!Hosting the best Rugby League team and the best supporters in the land. We will give you a warm welcome and then wish you a safe but empty handed voyage home. The noise you will hear from the Wigan supporters is nothing like you have experienced before especially upon the lifting of the trophy. Come and see us again next year by then the tears should have subsided. Bon voyage.St_Jubbsy wrote:We have had our banter but today it is all about the mighty St George taking the trophy home!

Re: Go you St George!
Jubbsy were did you sit? The largest group of Dragon fans seemed to be in the North Stand with a smaller group in the East Stand?
Top team btw. A mate in Aus pre match said watch out for King he is a good un GGGrrrr
So impressed with Morris. They might have got their speed from Steve but how the hell did they end up so tall.

Re: Go you St George!
I was annoying Wigan fans in the East stand.
Had an absolutely cracking night. Even hit a couple of nightspots in Wigan after the game and take a lot of fond memories of the friendly banter back with me.
Every Saints supporter I spoke to is jealous of the way you guys support your team. An atmosphere we can't replicate back home.
Was pleased to win but the result was secondary. I hope we play you again next year.

Re: Go you St George!
Your little group were on SKY lots. I think Aus TV simply take the SKY picture and add their own studio bit to it.
In some respects that was quiet but jeez it was a cracking event. Both groups of St George fans were very vocal with plenty of banners / flags.
I cannot believe people in Aus think St George are boring lol

Great game Jubbsy, apart from the result of course.
I thought it might be your lot they kept showing on SKY, and it seems it was.
I'd be interested to hear your opinon of the refereeing.
