I notice no-one has posted since the game but the SSB was open - to everyone with a match ticket.

Whinge for whinging's sake.......
It wasn't a case of whinging just for the sake of it. I'm sure I read somewhere that it had been made official that they bar was closed and had been reserved by the RFL.
Several posters stated that the bar was an RFL invite only. Maybe they can post and let us know. I for one didn't attempt to go because of what they posted
Me neither, we went to Red Robin, bar was packed and a couple of the staff were rude and very slow when serving. Then we tried the champions bar, that was just completely rammed, so we ended up queuing outside the ground, waiting for the turnstiles to open.

I was told from the club that it was RFL corporate only in the SSB.

On saying that, at around 6.30 a friend of mine asked could she, her cousin & two children go in & the doormen let them in as most of the corporate had then left!!!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

When the likes of Josie and Mike Binder say something re the SS Bar it is always IMO going to be correct. If they do not know what is happening then nobody does.

Initially it was only going to be open to rfl pass holders only. I went in there at about 5.15 with a pass and was told that they were letting people in with match tickets. Was good to see the players from the 1987 WCC receiving their medals on there before the game

Same as most, was told that the bar was closed and then found out that they were letting anyone with match tickets in (up to a certain amount). Lots of regulars missing, but they have certainly done the place out very well. Completely refurbed and will soon have the poshest bar in the N Power Championship.
Everything has gone up though, even the raffle tickets (unless it was as a one off)

I went in after the match - after watching St. George lift the cup and seeing the lads applauding the crowd down as they were. No luck in getting in - door staff just wanted to see match tickets.

In the Marquee last night, Carling was £3.30 a pint compared to £2.76 in Newtown WMC. Reckon I'll be changing my venue!
