Re: Gleeson
No truth in Fielden and Roberts being sacked as they were at the match tonight along with Richards, Finch and O'Carroll
Re: Gleeson
Only 1 player has been sacked to my knowledge and he has lots of previous.
Re: Gleeson
yet he's done nothing illegal, he hasn't let the fans down or pissed over the clubs great name by tooting a bit of the white stuff, takes the piss big style if you can get the sack for alcohol related activities yet a quick snoot of pablos wonder powder and you get rewarded with a new contract, surely the club could have stuck by Gleeson and put him into rehab or does this only happen if you are remedial. :eusa15:cpwigan wrote:Final straw with Gleeson. Re: Gleeson
you wouldnt be talking about Gaz Hock AGAIN would you Medlocke. it seems everytime someone does somthing wrong at the club you come back with the line someone gets done for blah blah but if you do coke you get a new deal. Gleesons troubles sound alot worse than Hocks
Re: Gleeson
Or perhaps they work on a three strikes and you're out policy? Because by my reckoning this is his fourth incident since he's been at Wigan! Not even mentioning all the stuff he did before!medlocke wrote:yet he's done nothing illegal, he hasn't let the fans down or pissed over the clubs great name by tooting a bit of the white stuff, takes the piss big style if you can get the sack for alcohol related activities yet a quick snoot of pablos wonder powder and you get rewarded with a new contract, surely the club could have stuck by Gleeson and put him into rehab or does this only happen if you are remedial. :eusa15:cpwigan wrote:Final straw with Gleeson. Considering Gleeson is now in his thirties and not exactly a young lad anymore shouldn't he know better? I would imagine that this won't exactly come as a surprise to him.
Why shouldn't the club sack a player that has repeatedly broke it's rules if it is in the best interests of the club? Likewise why shouldn't they retain a highly talented player who has accepted his mistake (and by all accounts tried to make amends)?

Re: Gleeson
Medlocke, think you'll find the club have stood by gleeson during the times when he has turned up late previously before and drunk by all accounts, among other incidents.
Everyone deserves a second chance but 3,4,5 takes the p1ss.

Plus Gleeson has previous misdemeanour's & from what I have heard it's a hell of a lot worse!THE 18th Man wrote:you wouldnt be talking about Gaz Hock AGAIN would you Medlocke. it seems everytime someone does somthing wrong at the club you come back with the line someone gets done for blah blah but if you do coke you get a new deal. Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Gleeson
Meds, I want you to trust me on this and in part this is why I kept telling you to not think that only players found guilty of something are actually the ones doing it.
- You are so wrong. The Gleeson blackmail. Think, why could somebody be blackmailed and why suddenly after going to the police, having 3 people arrested, one a very big criminal in Liverpool, the other small time criminals (what do small time criminals generally do that would allow them to blackmail somebody) only to then withdraw his accusations days later.
- Alarm bells were ringing at Wigan RLFC. Especially given previous disciplinary measures v Gleeson last season. Like any job, you only have so many strikes.
- WCC, players given Monday off. Tuesday back in training. Gleeson is late and drunk.
Wigan under Madge is a different animal to the Noble regime. You behave ultra professional or Madge will get rid. Many players who behaved like they did under Noble, would have got the boot if they did half of that under Madge.
I have said this previously, several people owe the poster in the rumours forum an apology. People belittled him when he was right.
