None whatsoever.
Look on Sky Sports News. Joel changes the line of his run to find Yeaman, then deliberately lifts his arm just before impact. Yeaman's head is instantly pushed back.
It was a deliberate action.

Incidentally, are we 100% sure that Joel made contact first to Yeomans face with his elbow / forearm? I only ask because Joel's natural style is to dip and push opponents away with his forearm. Any possibility that he made contact with chest then face?
Go over to rlfans and look at the Joel Tomkins thread there. There is is a picture at the point of contact and it doesn't show leading with the elbow or forearm.

correct, he'll get at least two matches. It was stupid regardless of any provocation particularly when we were in a good attacking position.

It was spoiling tactics alright, I didn't enjoy the way there were 3 or 4 in the tackle every time, something Wigan have done for a season or so, but looking on as it were on the other foot, not good spectacle.
There didn't seem a move in the teams head once Deacon went off as someone said.
Frustration set in because we were being beaten by a better "team" who were playing for each other.
We nearly lost the game because of the stupid antics of the Tompkins "prima donna" brothers, 1, when Sam pushed the player in front of the posts leading to their first try, and 2, the farce that ensued when Joel went in with the elbow, although on that incident I think the captain should take some of the blame for letting Joel go in "first up" in the first place.
I'm more in thinking with white elephant and matt about this, there will be more matches to come of this nature starting at Huddersfield, Warrington and Leeds, all without our most effective player.
Hull will not lose many this season if they play as a unit like that, but can Wigan play week after week without a playmaker (we need more than 1) who is always injured, plus Crinch who is injured also, without a kicker, "play" by giving the opposing players 10 metres start by not moving "up", and play without "fire", we should have been at it from the first minute, not in the last quarter when a man down, as I say the next 3 matches will be very interesting.
I'm glad we won, but!
Have a nice day.

That player we have signed from Australia who hasn't played yet (injured), you must excuse me iv'e not heard his name mentioned in a while, iv'e forgotten the correct spelling, whoever he is :) .
Any way, we need some tactics to get around a problem that we will see more of this season, and I don't want to go through many of the same if you don't mind.
Take care y'all :)
