It was until he walked into it
Sorry Dave, but we specifically watched him tonight. He is a slacker and a bottler. His defence was non-existant, his kicks were crap and I would play Joe Mellor ahead of him. At least he plays for the shirt which Blondie will never do unless a Lance Todd or Harry Sunderland is at stake!

Tonight was dire Storm :(

BTW... we're cooking on gas now just called you
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Very easy in Finch's case. He seems to want medals without being prepared to do what it takes to win them!

Well I didn't watch him specifically but you simply can not have a pop at Finch alone given how the rest of them played. I am not having a pop at Goulding either merely pointing out he was woeful under the high ball and had a very poor game. He should have taken both catches and had he done so we would not have been out of it after less than 20 mins.

Dave, I believe 'how the rest of them played' is very much down to Finch being on the team. He does not fit in. He is making up numbers. He has no passion for our team.

Did you watch Stefan Marsh play tonight. He ran his blood to water!

I did and may son was very impressed with Marsh's effort as well but its a bit early to say Finch does not fit in. If players don't fit in - as Feka didn't - they tend not to play.

But there lies the rub. Madge didn't bring Feka over!

I thought you might say that

But do you really think Madge would display such Noble-like tenancies because picking Finch regardless is as bad as Noble only ever picking his senior players? I thought the whole ethos of the club under Madge and Wane was earn your place, not play because you have a reputation.

I would hazard a guess that if anyone was pulling strings to get a player into the side who didn't merit it, it would not be Madge or Wane....

I wonder if people will start taking notice of what I have to say with regards to Brett Finch, he was offered a contract in Aus just after signing for Wigan and tried his hardest to get out of coming here but couldn't. He can't be arsed.

As I say to my wife, I'm always right in the end.

Totally out played and out enthused Tony.
We were poor, but Les Cats looked like a side well capable of the latter stages of the play-offs on this form.
Well worth the admittance fee just to see Steve Menzies on form back in a side who are fit and have some structure to their game.
Les Cats were worth the applause they were given by the Wigan fans last night.
