It took this to make your decision? Him becoming an arrogant p***k was enough to help me out on that one... Playing Robin Hood & The Sheriff of Nottingham indeed.

On a serious note, we knew Madge would go eventually, even though he said at Riversiders meeting in January that he was committed to the club, of course things change.

Best of luck to Madge, and thanks for last season, lets have a nice gentle transition to Waney, and win it again this season!

Should we stop playing 'Now we are free' when the players come out? Seeing as it is a soundtrack from one of his most famous films!
It's good to have an end to journey towards, but it's the journey that matters in the end.

I wish him all the best. He has done very well and 2 years is a fair return. As long as we get his replacement right, all will be well.
I would argue that there is a law of diminishing returns from a coach from the nrl in any event. Having seen Robinson's effect on Catalans that shows how big an instant effect an nrl coach can have on a club. We're finding life harder this year, and some new ideas may well have been required by next year in any event. He has improved the culture and given the players the knowledge that they can win things. I can see this year leading to more glory and MM leaving on a high, but think that the same level of careful research could well lead to another great appointment and 2/3 years of fresh ideas...

Here here.
Let's not forget how, in one season, he transformed almost the same set of players into Champions.
I think he will give 100% in this, is final season with us, if only too impress his new masters that he isn't a 'One Season Wonder'.

Maguire has done a fantastic job and has transformed the club. We are so far ahead of where we were when Noble was in charge it is quite unbelievable.

Hopefully with everything concerning Maguire's future now in the open - the team can concentrate on what is happening ON the pitch for a change
