Goes beyond "being on top of the world".
In a house full of Stains fans, they were shouting and screaming,UP UNTIL 45 second or so to go, then it all went very quiet in their corner.

I watched the game again last night in peace and quiet (I'm bad I know )All the time that Saints were in the lead, Hemmings never shut up about how they had lots of injuries. When we took the lead he never mentioned it, when Saints got back in front he does it again. I could have gladly reached in to the telly and grabbed him by the throat.

Nathan, I thought we were gone, there is no doubt about it but as they say the game is 80 minutes not 79 and anything can and does happen,I remeber Saints doing it to Bradford when they had Millward.That was in the last few seconds and all the Bradford team let Chris Joynt run past them to the line.Matthew Elliot just slumped on the floor from his seat and you just saw the top of his head.As a few people have mentioned,the look on their faces was absolutely worth the admission fee alone. :hehe: : :badg: :lol1:

I have also been on RedVee to read about how we must be brickin it if that's the best we can do against an injury ravaged team.
They obviously haven't the brains to realise how disrespectful they are being to their 17 lads who actually took to the field and played their part in the best RL spectacle that SL has seen all season!

it's starting to get a bit yawnworthy in fairness. "SaintsFan" on RL fans keep going on about the injuries, and who went off during the game... That's why you have an interchange bench, and sports conditioners... Sammy gets knocked on his butt nearly every game, and he gets up and plays on... ho hum...

That has made me think, Sam must have played a perfect game, because I haven't heard one claim of him cheating for Wigan to win.

I actually thought we were quite poor for long periods of the match and was much more impressed with Saints overall. This is especially so when considering the injuries they had going into the game and the ones they suffered during the course of it. I thought that Gary Wheeler was the best player on the pitch and he really impressed me before his injury. I also think his injury turned the game along with the further injuries that Saints suffered. Before this Saints were certainly the better team and they did really well to come back to take the lead again when we got a couple of tries in front. We certainly have a lot of work to do and I was very disappointed that out pack couldnt dominate what was a very depleted Saints pack.
