What would you do ?

Post by The Eclipse »

An article in our Sunday Telegraph says that Finch dosen't want to be at Wigan, never wanted to be at Wigan and wants a return to Oz, i had this confirmed by someone who played with Finch a the Storm.

He will deny it because he is on big bucks.

Why did he sign the contract and fly 12,000 miles across the globe then?

If he is some sort of total idiot with no brain or thought pattern whatsoever and he has other people controlling what he does/where he goes/what he eats etc, then I would question him about the article in question, and if true, would tell him - go and go now. BUT, he would not receive one penny pay off to go, and would also expect some compensation as Leeds did for Greg Eastwood

and don't reply "Melbourne's salary cap made him move" he could and more than likely now would have to join one of the other NRL teams any way if this story has any truth about it

I've said before that he signed for us because he didn't receive any other offers and then after he signed he had an offer from an Aussie club and he tried his hardest to get out of his contract with Wigan. One day, maybe just one day ppl will believe me about Finch.

REALLY :doz:
Well that narrows it down a tad.
Only two seasons at Storm & how many of those players are now in Super League ?

BTW - Finchy had already stated "on record" that 2010 was his last season in Melbourne even before the salary cap fiasco blew up.And I think he had other offers from NRL clubs, just not attractive ones

I'm still undecided about finch he struggled to find a club after parramatta let him go mid season and storm took a gamble on him when they were struggling with who to play at 6. they won the comp that year tho againt parramatta which suggest he was a major part of that, the talent is there but think he has always struggled to produce it week in week out.

If he wants to go then let him go. A player never performs well at a club if their heart is not in it and based on Finch's performances so far we are not going to miss him anyway.

Finch to Souths:

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/ ... 6043832308

THE South Sydney Rabbitohs have approached premiership-winning five-eighth Brett Finch as insurance for the likely loss of Chris Sandow to a rival club.
Finch is playing under new Souths coach Michael Maguire at Wigan and is under contract for two more years. But contracts in the English Super League are not worth the paper they are written on.

Willie Mason has shown that by walking out on Hull KR to play rugby in France. Maguire has shown the same by quitting Wigan to join the Rabbitohs.

It happens all the time because the UK clubs understand there is no point trying to keep players who don't want to be there. Finch is already homesick and misses the NRL desperately. He never wanted to leave but was forced out by the Melbourne Storm salary cap scandal. Other NRL clubs were interested in him but couldn't match the Wigan dollars

If Finch isnt happy he should leave Wigan straight away. His current performances wont be missed and if the article is true I cant believe our supporters will stand behind him and keep giving this guy benefit of the doubt.

Its cost the club to put him through his operation and rehabilitation so we might as well cut our losses and give one our young players a go
