Great result that to nil a team after away an effort like Friday's.

Wonder what Kear will have to say about Wigan's defence today?

Back to work for me....marking loads of Uni assignments so that has brightened up my day.

Back home from t'game. Carmont outstanding today, I lost count of the breaks he made today but we managed to blow everyone of them, must have really p**d him off and then he goes and twists his knee and forced off with about 10 minutes to go. Hansen off earlier with what looked a more serious knee injury.
Sam tried all his tricks today against a very poor Wakefield side but if truth were told we would have been better served if ocassionally, just ocassionally, he had passed the ball instead of running sideways and back.
MOTM without a shadow of a doubt was Carmont but closely followed by Mossop who started and had a massive game as well, made large yards on every carry. It will be interesting to see if Goulding plays on Sunday as Charnley despite another good game fumbled two high kicks under not much pressure and Maguire seems to rotate these two as they drop kicks. Some of Sams takes under the high ball would have done Radlinski proud.
Thats me done now until the home game against Wakefield as I am off to la belle France to live upto my strapline. Au 'voir mes braves

bloody sunburnt!

Must have been 3,500 Wiganers there today the away end looked packed.

Carmont was outstanding very unlucky with his knee he knocked it earlier in the game and it might have done the damage then. Loved his snakey run going 50 metres against their #30

Hoffman as always a great player nice workrate to set up our 2nd try. Finch, didn't notice him tbh, Lima played well he had to due to Coley and hansen going off.

Sam Tomkins was like a kangaroo jumping up and down, running everywhere as usual the little trickster.

We should have won by 50-0! We had so many opportunities to complete a set or get into position or even score - too many times we mishandled the ball but I felt we still lacked in idea's to create a try. I take it Coley knocked on for his 'try' would have been great if he scored.

Our defence, well, it's safe to say we never looked like conceeding even in the times when Wakefield were at our line... numerous hold ups - Morrison their biggest threat but Deacon and Sam held him iirc.

Good day, tired lads, 2 points and a nil.

Hansen shat himself again? big hit, whats his injury and coley/carmont any news?
