The initial Warriors shop in the Grand Arcade, was on a six month trial lease & was rent free.

The cost of rent the new, but smaller shop, is very expensive & is doing very well :)

New rule to come in in June, any 17 - 20 year old RU player who comes to RL will come in at zero rate in the salary cap.

We have only 3 overseas players, Finch, Hoffman & Lima.

Think that's it :doz:

Not goin thu' all the thread again but, 6 out of the 13 coaches in SL have already applied for the job :o

Think the only one out of the 13 that I'd have would be Trent Robinson from Catalan.

Plus several from the NRL!!!

Did anybody ask any silly embarassing questions akin to the infamous Weetabix/Shreaded Wheat one ?

My earlier posts were quick copy/paste from Bilko's tweets, hence the lack of my customary literary brilliance!

I did not know about that 10 year rule but the potential implications are awesome. We have arguably the best back row forward who doesn't count towards our cap.

So how forward thinking is our Chairman, mindful of all the home grown talent we already have playing and who are hovering in the wings!

And where will Wire be in 5 years time?

Phil Wilkinson was sat at the back, but it'll probably still be wrong in tomorrow's Wigan Early Morning Post.

It's nice to see that IL has a plan, for everything. A 3 year plan for the shirt, a long term plan for the club. Perfect!

Yes, and I was the only one to do so. It was mentioned later asking was it discriminatory as no one else offered their name. He replied that he thought everyone would follow my lead.

Thought I may have got away with some anonymity before that. At the end of the forum two guys came up to me now that they know who I am to say hello & a lady who is here on holiday from America said "so you're Josie"

What is this about the young RU players? Or is it that any young players don't count on the cap? If dispensations are on the cards from the RFL I'd prefer them to be for young home grown RL players. I suppose it may be an attempt to fire a shot across RU's bows but it seems a bit toothless.

Love the idea we lodge contracts we are outbid on to the RFL. great news we are profitable .

No surprise we need Latics in the Prem so they can pay for our stadium. I have always thought if they went into freefall they would not be able to afford the ground or they would want to re negotiate the lease.

Surprised Hock got a straight 5 year deal. Doesn't send the right message IMO and as to him paying for the trainer himself that shows willing but Wigan certainly could not have funded him.

6 Sl coaches applied for the job? I bet that has upset at least 6 other clubs chairmen

Glad to see we don't take comments from others lying down. A great example of keeping the tans informed not meaning we have to know the details.

Seems there has been a lot more meaningful information at this years event than in the past.

Thanks to kittwazzer josie and all those that have kept me informed since 5am this morning reading your reports on the fans forum. As to where the (Wire)will be in 5years time. Well thats an easy one to answer. They will be sat at the top of super league after buying Inglis,Cameron Smith,Billy Slater and most of the nrl.And of course they will manage to keep under the salary cap. Also they will have been investigated by the rfl for any wrong doing only to be found to be an exemplary beacon to other clubs of how to Fu***ng well cheat the system.

No, & I think that was tongue in cheek when it was asked at the first fans forum & it was aimed at Joe Lydon!

It is usually a question asked of players by the kids at the Riversiders meetings

It was brought up about the Willie Mason saga & Mr Lenegan said the whole affair left the RFL with, more or less, egg on their face & very amateurish. Again with the Nathan Brown affair. He explained that the Brown affair was delayed due to the workload over Easter & not because of the comments by G Hethrington!

The club wanted to de register Pat after the GF when he had his injury, not to sign anyone but so as not to go over the cap while deals for our kids were sorted out. The RFL refused. As they did when Lockers & Hock both had season ending injuries a few years ago
