Big One 3 Sets New Record
Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce that their upcoming clash with Huddersfield Giants - the Big One 3 - will set a new attendance record for a regular Super League fixture between the two teams.
The game is still over 2 weeks away and ticket sales have already surpassed the previous highest crowd of 14,092, which was set at the DW Stadium in 2006.
The game takes place on Saturday 25th June at the DW Stadium and now only 1000 tickets remain at the discounted prices of £10 for adults, £7 for concessions and £5 for juniors. Once these discounted tickets have been sold normal match day prices will apply in all areas.
Warriors half back Paul Deacon said:
"It's great to know that there will be a massive crowd inside the DW for this match. The town is already buzzing about the event and over the last couple of weeks both Sky and Magners have joined thousands of Warriors and Giants fans to show their support for the Big One 3.
"We've got two important clashes coming up (at Castleford and St Helens) but it will be good to return home at the end of the month to face another team who are challenging at the top of the table in front of a big crowd."
Tickets for the Big One 3 between Wigan Warriors and Huddersfield Giants on Saturday 25th June (5.45pm) can be purchased from the DW Stadium Ticket Office, by phoning the Ticket Hotline on 0871 66-33-552 or online by [clicking here].

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Bearing in mind the target was 20,000+ I'd say the figure is disappointing. Especially as there are still 1,000 cheap tickets left.
It was always going to be a challenge to get that many against Hudds. Don't blame them for trying though. Still think they made the right choice!

I know what you are saying KW but there is over a week left yet, still 6000 is a big number lol.

It would be interesting to see what Hudds have sold?
20K is too big an ask IMO especially if the game is televised?

Re: Big One 3 Sets New Record
this year saints and warrington didnt need promoting , maybe they could promote the leeds game as war of the roses, to try and get the leeds fans down again because there support has seriously declined
