I am pleased about this. MM knows him from being at Melbourne together, and he has played at a good level (SoO?). We will need big lads if we are to progress successfully on every front. As Hock regains fitness, this should give us enough proper props to play every week till October (with a week off during the play offs of course).

I heard this on Sunday, but wanted to wait until it was announced officially

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Very much this. Have any of the Leeds players looked any good at all this season? Not sure what they're being coached to do, but play well and win matches doesn't seem to be on the syllabus.Wigan_forever1985 wrote:Ill reserve judgement till ive seen him play for us under Madge. Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.
Re: Ben Cross has now signed
I agree with the comments re. what have any of the Leeds players done this season, one in particular is Peacock who in my opinion has struggled since his comeback and I think he may have gone, yet he still gets picked for the exciles match, totally against his form. I am surprised we sign Cross a few days after letting Davies go to Cas on loan, what message does that give to the young lad?
Re: Ben Cross has now signed
Does this mean we wont be seeing Fielden again this season, if at all ever again in a Warriors jersey?
Re: Ben Cross has now signed
It makes sense IMO to use the cap to the full amount and better to have too many than too few players in the squad.
I believe Cross clashed with McDermott which seems very understandable as he is very odd and difficult for almost anybody to deal with as a coach.
Madge knows Cross so he must think he will help. Personally, I think Davies looks on his way out and there are genuine concerns about Fielden's fitness.

Both my Dad and myself are thinking that Feilden may never return, or at least not at SL level.
That last season may have used up the last bit of juice in the tank and i think at his age he will find it very hard to over come such a lengthy period out.
I was a BIG fan of Davies when he burst onto the scene but IMO he has gone backwards, maybe a spell at a SL side will bring him back up to code.
Like CP Says if you have CAP lying around you may aswell have extra players than not enough
