Newton for GB?

Post by feeona »

Assuming Newton can play despite injury do you think he'll be picked for GB as hooker? Or will Cunningham or Higham be chosen instead?

On form Newton has been the better so far this season IMO but I think he will be ruled out due to the operation. If both him and KC were fit I wouldn't see the point in including Higham in the squad as it does not need to have three hookers.

I think on the performances we've seen so far from Newton he deserves the Great Britain jersey number 9!

Although if he is delaying his op till the end of the season he might not be able to play!

I.M.O Cunningham is a bit over rated like saying he is "the best hooker in the world"
Anyway its about time Newton got a chance to show he is just as good if not better than Cunningham!

Newton for G.B!

He's playing despite medical advice, could this mean hes doing further damage to his knee?
Or is the extent of the injury stable and its just a case of having an op

On the Saints message board they reckon that Micky Higham is going to be the next Great Britain Hooker after Cunningham and they think that he will be Hooker for England in the next world cup series!!

One thing to say "i don't think so!!"
Newton all the way!!
