Why do we have to pay extra monies in hiring a football ground?

Can't we just have it in a decent local rugby league ground keep the money in rugby league :)

If Saints hadn't have been using Widnes, it would have been there.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I like the idea of Deepdale and promote RL to Preston and surrounding areas. 23,000 is achievable IMO.

Well I will be away on holiday for the semi so it's a bit of a moot point for me where it is.

As to the game we can't take this lightly at all. Saints are rather off the radar with us and Wire 1 & 2 in the league but Saints are in good form and have a good coach.

I am sure this low profile suits them.

We need the team as fired up and switched on as they were v Wire.

I'm sure the RL would want a full ground for the semi and sod those who can't get a ticket. In 2004, they made us play Warrington at Widnes and I think it was still 3 sided then!

Cherry it (Deepdale) is an option if our semi was the Sunday one.

I live 2 mins form Deepdale so that would be a great idea! Think the Reebok would be the best venue but it depends on what kind of rents etc they have to pay. It always lookes good to have a full ground on tv so my bet it will be at Warrington.

Had the 2009 semi been Wigan v Saints it was going to be played at the HJ Warrington, so I'm guessing it'll be there.
As it happened it was Wire v Wigan at Widnes and Saints v Huddersfield at the HJ.

HJ stadium id be fine with so long as they dont run out of 2 pint pots before the actual game starts again!!! Grrrrrr!!!! 25 minute queue at halftime too, really need more bar staff there or atleast just some of the talented Wigan ones that can serve more than one person in 10 minutes ;)

I was sure we were going to end up with Leeds and was looking forward to ending their dreams again in another semi final, looks like we will have them at wembley though.

Reebok or PNE stadium would be fine by me, both are only a 6 mile drive or even better train so i can have a beer or 2 :)

When do we find out? didnt they say it would be announced later last night?

Hmmm will be a tricky game this 1 but we will win!

I knew the RFL would give us this draw could see it coming a mile off!

Next RFL trick, Stobart stadium is a neutral ground!
