Re: Leeds it is then
I was looking for something a little more subtle God, like banning any Wigan player who can run faster than the slowest Leeds player!!!!

Re: Leeds it is then
The whino's are an ageing team who need every bit of help! And Heather Hetherington is fully aware that a team of the calibre of Wigan will not be cowed by the bully boy tactics often dished out by his thugs. Consequently he will seek assistance by using his mates in the rfl. By the time we have dealt with them Peacock will seriously start thinking of retirement.Bailey will be reduced to a quivering wreck as befits all bullies. Jamie Jones Buchanan will regrow that silly facial hair thing in order not to be recognised on the street. Danny cry baby Maguire will need a big box of tissues.Rob Burrows can go back to being an extra in the borrowers.Carl Ablett should be helped to fulfill his ambition of trying to look like Hannibal Lecter with a good full facial smash. This should be a game that includes cross so he can exact some form of revenge over the whingers. We should remind them that they are a team of also rans and that it is the glorious WIGAN WARRIORS who have put them to the sword and utterly humiliated them.

Re: Leeds it is then
We of Whitehaven really hate Leeds because they denied us a place at Wembley, Sat 30th March 1957 at Odsal score 10-9 to Leeds. Attendance c. 50,000 at Odsal. I didn't go, but my Dad said the Leeds supporters said Whitehaven had been robbed.josie andrews wrote:That's exactly how I feel, only thing is, I actually really do hate Leeds & want Wigan to wipe their mugs in the floor :sly:TrueBlueWarrior wrote:I was desperate for Leeds to win, firstly not because I have anything against Cas and secondly not because I have anything for Leeds, simply because I cannot wait to see all of their faces including Hetherington, Macdermott, Maguire, that idiot that jumps around like a right plonker, rest of the players and finally all the fans that boooed Sam including the crying kids, when we smash them all over the Wenbley pitch and break their hearts! COME ON!!
Now there's hatred for you and very very long memories. I got all this from my Dad "Always remember Brian how Leeds cheated us" I haven't forgotten.
Have to say, Cas v Leeds a very boring game.
I can't wait to see Wigan run them off their feet - 90-0 will do me!!
Re: Leeds it is then
Wasn't bothered who we got at Wembley but of the two, I preferred Leeds. Firstly, they will bring lots of supporters and secondly, think Cas would have posed us more problems. Even Lockers reckons they are a bit of a bogey team.
Don't think we need to get all paranoid about it either. They can pull what tricks they want, we'll still beat them, it's our destiny this year.

Think that is a bit of an over confident comment CP, considering the amount of tough games Leeds have given us over the passed few years.cpwigan wrote:Nothing to fear from Leeds IMO. Cas should have woin. Missed opportunity for them IMO. Chase and Cas down that left hand side would have been more difficult at Wembley than Leeds. Saved McDermott's job which is bad news for Leeds fans.
Is it one drawn and one won this season, and many neutrals would have said the pass to Richards at the DW was forward.
Leeds knuckle up against us, they are a side used to success in the big game scenario's, their recent Grand Final record is pretty good.
I say count them out at our peril.
In Madge I trust, but I am sure he wouldnt say we have nothing to fear from Leeds.

Problem is with leeds is they are a team of cheats and thugs. They will come with the same tactic they came with last time to spoil! nothing else thats all they can do.
What we need to do and i stated this after the last game is find a way of playing beyond their spoiling tactics. Like for like they cannot match us but they wont come to win they will come to stop us winning and there's a big difference.
I think is scandolous that leeds are still in with a shot of both cups considering how bad they have been all season.
Crap team with a crap coach

Agree with the idea of having Cross in the squad. If anyone is self motivated for the game it will be him!

I wouldnt to be honest, you have to be careful, rememeber the rest of the league and RFL hate us the last thing they want is for Wigan to dominate again. Cross is not known for his tackling technique if he tries to land big on someone i can see a red card coming outKittwazzer wrote:Agree with the idea of having Cross in the squad. 2 years ago PM if Leeds or Saints played near their best, they beat us. Now if we play near our best then we beat Leeds and Saints. It is that simple. Awful coach, ageing squad who pose less threat than Chase would have. Saints were better than either Leeds or Cas and Wire are better than them all. If we play as we can, we shall fear no British RL team.Panchitta Marra wrote:Think that is a bit of an over confident comment CP, considering the amount of tough games Leeds have given us over the passed few years.cpwigan wrote:Nothing to fear from Leeds IMO. Although I do agree that Cas with Chase on form may be just as big a threat as Leeds, but it is Leeds we have to consider 100% here.cpwigan wrote:2 years ago PM if Leeds or Saints played near their best, they beat us. Should we not fear any team in a The Challenge cup final CP, after all Sheffield werent exactly odds on favourites to take the trophey home.
If we shouldnt fear Leeds, please explain your reasoning behind this considering the closeness of the the two League games this season and the fact that they dumped us out of the Challenge Cup last season and beat us at home in the initial Grand Final run in.
Please dont get me wrong, I am a glass half full on this one, but I sure dont think it will be a walk in the park down at Wembley.
