Today's Game

Post by jinkin jimmy »

Nice to be back to winning ways!! We played much better after a lousy start and if it wasn't for the mistakes by Rads and Aspy leading to 2 Salford tries we would have been miles away.

Great to see a much better performance from Scully, shame to see such a poor one from Carney.

Finally, we have got to find a starting place for Godwin - we looked loads better when he was on.

Anyway, top 6 again - let's hope we can stay there!!

Still quite a few errors in there and I still shocked at what Rads did! But overall happy with the result. :D

Dennis Moran really shone after a stuttering start, as did Kevin Brown. Wayne Godwin was lively too, and Danny Sculthorpe had a good game in my opinion, except for the report incident with Shippley (spelling?). Good to see Tomkins, Hargreaves and Gleeson getting a chance to play too. I thought Harrison Hansen had a good tackling game as well.

Well done lads!

ok jimmy take a deep breath...............i agree 100 per cent. i also thought dennis moran was man of the match . his kicking game kept salford on the back foot while we took control

Radlinski- Fairly quiet took his try well though. Bit of a blooper but still quite good game
Dallas- Usuall lively self shown good speed for his second
Aspinwall- Didnt really spot much of him today and should of done better when stewart scored.
Wild- Good game as usuall done well for his try.
Carney- Good running but made a bit of a strange slap at the ball.
Brown- Well he had a good game but I dont think he deserved mom
Moran- Absolutely brilliant today! Shown what he can do and I think Millward will continue to get the best out of him.
SeuSeu- Good running as usuall made no mistakes
Newton- Very lively didnt give up chases
Sculthorpe- Very good game today deserved the start. Bit bad tempered towards the end.
Guisset- Probably the most quiet of our players today but put in some good big hits.
Hansen- Imense in defence.
Tickle- Gave away to many penaltys but hard working as usuall.
Gleeson- Defended well when he came on and fairly good debut.
Godwin- Speed around the ruck area gives us great options when hes on the field.
Hargreaves- The best game he has had for us very good going forward and quite a good few offloads.#
Tompkins- Good when he came on had a strong game.

Hansen- Imense in defence.
I thought so too. I'm becoming a big fan of him!

The away support for us was brilliant, even though some of us couldn't get down. Never stopped singing and from my point of view, we were a lot louder than Salford supporters. :D

Moran seemed to come alive after he and Millward had a little chat. He was brilliant I thought, was surprised he didn't get MOTM.

Due to working i only saw the first half. We seemed more cohessive going forward no panic football as has been the case for a while now. Stupid individual errors let them dictate the first 20-25 minutes but we looked like finishing off with a try every time we went into there 20 mtr area.

Impressed with Sculthorpe in 1st half got over the game line every time and no daft off loads. I blame Carney for the 1st try as well as Tickle for a stupid penalty.

If we cut sloppy handling and stupid penalties then i see us in the top 6 in Sept. If not well finish just outside.

Mentioned again on Sky that MO is still in Australia attempting to recruit players. Hopefully things will settle down again and we will start going in the right direction.

Moran is a quality player who has played with an average pack, hopefully now the pack will improve and so will Moran.

It was still strange watching IM celebrating a Wigan try.
