Re: wolves
With Madge's half time reaction I should imagine there could be a few 1st teamers being given an enforced rest against the Crusaders.
I think Madge will want to get his point across that Challenge Cup winner or not if you don't perform week in, week out you won't be staying in the team.
Have to say well done to the Wolves though, their start was what won the game for them as we couldn't get a foothold into the match at all.
Their number 9 is a special player.

Imagine Roby in our team?
Quite an honour that Wire mirrored our way of playing and on the day did it far far better.

Humiliating display! Not a single player had a good game. Too many errors and the discipline was unbelievable.
Re: wolves
I would not say humiliating, stupid, embarassing BUT in many ways it was likely to happen.

Re: wolves
if i counted right we only played the ball in our own 20 metres 2 or 3 times in the full 80, a shocking performance which that stat (if right) shows

Re: wolves
We had some good plays in their 20m but we were only there for a few minutes of the entire game.

Re: wolves
Where do you start?
It would seem that fatigue did play a part and I feel that their third try came from possession that should've been ours. Wire didn't go short of luck first half either. However, the half time defecit accurately reflected what we had seen.
The kick off gave a clue as to the poor game Sam was going to have. He followed that mistake with a pass of stunning ineptitude to his brother following the one quality play he made in the match.
The ever loathsome Briers got a lucky break but if Tommy had faced the play he could easily have pouched the kick.
Second half saw another badly bombed pass from Sam, Hansen dropping simple balls.
An uneven performance from Silverwood but we were certainly lacking in discipline.
A horrible day.

Agree with that!
Some of Wire tries were gifts from us or silly penalties but we were never good enough to come back at them.
Really concerned about Sam - didn't think he had a good game at Wembley and certainly not today.
