Retro Shirt Day

Wigan Warriors are asking fans to adorn their favourite Wigan shirt from by bygone eras at the game against Crusaders in support of the Heritage Day this Friday.

Warriors Marketing Director, Simon Collinson said,

"In celebration of the Club's Heritage Day we are actively encouraging fans dig out their favourite Wigan shirt from past years and wear it to the game.

"Last time we did this it resulted in a great array of shirts and memories from yesteryear.

"We hope that this will add colour to the occasion as well as helping to make the Heritage Day a popular event in the Club's calendar."

The Heritage Day will see the Club celebrate and reminisce about its illustrious history by inviting past players to a private reunion at the DW Stadium before kick off. These players will then be introduced to the crowd before forming a guard of honour to welcome the current team onto the pitch before kick off.

In celebration of the Heritage Day fans are also able to purchase the 1989 Retro Cup Final Shirt with 25% off from the Club Shop in the West Stand at the DW Stadium on match day.

Tickets for the Crusaders game are still available and can be purchased via the Ticket Office, Ticket Hotline on 0871 6633552 or via Warriors E-Tickets.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
