Mr Hicks
Mr Hicks
Am I the only one who really thought that he was about as useful as a soggy old crumpet tonight?
For the first half, he spent most of his time piddling about with his ear piece and not watching the game. At one point I actually caught him watching the dancing ad-boards rather than the game...
As for those ad-boards, good god Mr Whelan, can we have the bloody things static during the game? PLEASE!

Re: Mr Hicks
He was dreadful, particularly first half. Some of his decisions baffled both sets of players, never mind the fans.onedego wrote:Am I the only one who really thought that he was about as useful as a soggy old crumpet tonight?

He was poor was he getting direction from his ear piece has the boards they are bloomin awful get rid asap.
Re: Mr Hicks
Forget the ad boards, if I had to watch matches refereed by Hicks every week my days as a RL fan would be numbered. Hopeless, inconsistent and lacking any understanding were my thoughts. It is time for Cummings to go because if Hicks and Child are his new top tier referees, officiating is going backwards.
Re: Mr Hicks
very happy he heard me as he was laughing and joking with one of the Cru players:
"It's not funny hicks"
looks at me
"You're rubbish"
looks at me
"And you know it"
looks at me, then runs away.

Re: Mr Hicks
He looked totally confused on a few occasions and there was one set in particular seemed to consist more like a set of 8 although I am sure I am wrong :eusa18:
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Re: Mr Hicks
I don't think you are. I commented at the time he'd lost count on one set.OJ wrote:He looked totally confused on a few occasions and there was one set in particular seemed to consist more like a set of 8 although I am sure I am wrong :eusa18:

Well posted Andy. You've covered every point I wanted to make. Not fit to ref an U8 game.onedego wrote:Am I the only one who really thought that he was about as useful as a soggy old crumpet tonight?

Must admit, I missed the 8 tackle set though. Hope Sophie's sainted dad picks it up!

Re: Mr Hicks
I was being polite KW & said he wasn't good enough to referee the academy teams
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
