There seems less away support coming to Wigan over the past couple of seasons. Playing Yorkshire teams on a Friday night is no help either. 16k seems a a mgnificent effort to me and well done to the marketing team.

You're right. I live near Leeds and virtually stopped going to Wigan's home matches on Fridays. Try the M62 at that time - it's no fun after a week at work! I accept the club have to decide on a regular kick-off time to suit the majority of fans, i.e. those in and around Wigan, but there is a knock-on effect for Wigan fans who live further away.

Incidentally, Wigan's attndances spread from 12813 to 24057, a range of 11244. Leeds from 13068 to 18095, range 5027.

Leeds lowest attendance beating ours will possibly be due to the fact there are 7 teams east of the Pennines compared to 5 on the west, including Salford and Crusaders!
