Just to add, 1 player playing today has been looking for part time employmernt to boost his income so fans need to realise even some first team members are not very well paid.

I cannot confirm this but no reason to doubt it BUT another player who played today and became No 4 in the all time points scorers for Wigan has been 'walking' around in a medical boot for damaged ligaments/broken bones yet played excellent.

Lockers is carrying an injury, Coley needs new knees. Yet you would not believe it, the way they play.

Players are underpaid and they do put everything on the line!

Feeling undervalued / disrespected in those circumstances does not help.

First it is not a rumour and people like you pee me off but hey that's life and NO all the players do not get paid very well, some far from it and it is relative given how brief their career is. Hence, why the players are peed off at being treated poorly.

To be honest, you can believe what you want, I am tired of conversing with numptys lol Have a good evening.
If its not a rumour then why is it in the rumour mill?

........and what a performance today to show IL exactly what they are worth, I hope they have another massive dispute with him in a couple of weeks over the GF winning bonuses  !

1) Themselves
2) Each Other
3) MM/SW/MB/KR and all the other backroom staff.
4) The 'paying' fans.
5) Family/Friends

In that list I have not put IL obviously because if he has upset them then they won't want to win anything for him or if he hasn't then they probably wouldn't anyway.

People might disagree but I think the list of 5 above will put to bed any uncertainty about players not trying because of IL because if that was the case then they would be letting down the people in that list and I don't believe the Wigan squad as men and proud Wigan players would ever jeopardise that no matter what happens to them!
Let's not forget that these guys are playing to pay their mortgage and put food on the table. They are not overpayed sportmen they are tough men who turn out each week with injuries that would put mere mortals in an hospital bed.

In my view they deserve every penny they get and it is unacceptable, in my book, for them not to receive every last pound. At the beginning of the season they would have agreed bonus payments and therefore there should have been no qualms about paying them when they were successful.

I know whom CP is talking about when he states that one player is looking to supplement his earnings with part-time work. Hopefully, IL will do the right thing and reward him with a new contract for next season. What we don't want is a repeat of the Chris Ashton affair!

Hopefully, everything is now resolved and the club can kick-on to the double.
