and yet won't it be funny if the guy turns out to do a decent job for a season, scoring several tries, setting a few up and making a few tasty tackles, i wonder if as usual, all the ones slagging off his signing will be the first praising him, at least wait until he's played 4 or 5 games before you judge the fella ffs, look how old the Beaver is and he is going great guns

It would be an absolutely terrible signing.

The comparison to Steve Menzies (one of THE greatest Rugby LEAGUE players of the last 20 years) must have been a wind-up. It can't have been serious.

II keep hearing David Beckham is out of contract in LA in November. Surely we could keep him fit for the Olympics team?

With IL being an astute business man, I'm sure there are good reasons behind signing Thomas.
1. Will it bring fans from Wrexham to Wigan?
2. What publicity will it bring to the club with the film being made about his life.

Can't see him being on a massive contract and as far as I am concerned, if he pulls on a Cherry and White shirt, then he gets my support.

Will be interesting to see what sort of a contract he is offered :doz:

This is not the sort of signing that Wigan should be looking to make. In all honesty; it's not the sort of signing that Barrow should be looking to make.

We're just about to get rid of Pryce - I didn't realise that we were looking to replace him!

Thing is we won't be paying his wage and he doesn't come in on salary cap either. The publicity from his film won't do us any harm plus he can't be any worse than Price. It will prob be only for 1 season anyway. Can't see him getting much game time
