According to the weekend paper, Shaun was approached a few years ago with an offer that could only be described as a laugh and, at worst, an insult to the man.
That's why he went to Wales. They (England RU) would have to do hell of a lot of grovelling - and loads of money - to entice them.

Edwards has resigned his position as coach at wasps (on BBC sports page now) will the prodigal son return or if rumour be true is he destined for the England rugby union coaching job

During the last week of the union World Cup i read an article in a paper that Wasps are financially strugglng and looking for a clear out. Was either Express or Mail.

Acording to todays papers Martin Johnson is going to be staying on as England boss but must clear out some of his staff. I can not see Edwards going to England if Gatland stays with Wales. Both are very close friends.

Interesting to see where he goes if the press is correct.
