All this talk of BIG signings.IMO these BIG signings only prevent our own players progressing.Theyll never be the answer to our problems unless your signing a play maker.TRENT BARRATT for example. We have to give youth a chance or youll never know. How many players have stains promoted.? And theyve done the business.

No Fujiman, you're right in that they've not actually won anything this season (there's only 2 Trophies that are available).

But how much progress have they made for next season and the future is another position. Their experience and performances have overshot ours, imo and will stand them in good stead.

On the other hand, we've hardly progressed any of our Youth players in 2011 so have "catch up" to play. I'm afraid next year, when it will be extremely difficult ourselves to win a Trophy, as our youngsters in turn are dropped in and out of the side to get them to where stains are now.

Probably because of Madge going, we've neglected this aspect of player development, but its vital for the future that we do it and go through the process which sts have.

Player development of our local, young stars is essential for the Warriors going forward, more important than anything else including "marquee" aussie signings.

No probably about it, Once he knew he was going, he focused only on what he could achieve in 2011.

Exactly. Ignoring junior progression has set us back 12 months and its now left to SW to pick up the pieces!

The way everyone is acting these days you'd think we'd had the worst season on record. There's only 3 pieces of silverware availble each season, and we won one, and came bloody close to the other two, so what are you all so negative about?? Christ, it was only 2 months ago we were all dancing round Wembley celebrating the Challenge Cup.

Yes, we've got a lot of players leaving for one reason or another (but lets face it, some of them won't be massive losses will they?), but are things really as bad as some of you are making out? The season only finished 10 days ago, there's so much time for players to come in, I'm pretty sure that the club have been planning for Madge going and Wane taking over for a long time. He only got announced last week, so give it time for things to happen, players are now on international duty as well, so I wouldn't expect there to be much news happening right now.

Stop the negativity people, news will filter through as and when necessary, but we seriously have to stop all this nonsense about how sad people look in a photograph!! Come on, seriously, how can you read anything into a photograph? We all now that you can get 2 pictures taken seconds apart that can tell two totally different stories.

How about a bit of positivity hey people? Wane coming in is a great move for continuity, he's popular with the players, so let's get behind the big man and look forward to 2012 as being another great year for the Warriors.

just because the muppets on sky go on about saints youth setup so much doesnt mean we are miles behind. the only reason saints seems better is because of the two halfbacks standing out

Something else they never mention is that ALL those Wigan players have played in winning reserve/U20 Grand Finals in the last four years. To be fair all those Saints lads have played in them too, that's where they started their losing culture.

And two of those Saints played for local Wigan teams.
