Authentic home shirt at JJB

Post by l halliday »

Question - 1) Why doesn't the official shop sell the true authentic shirt if DW does and 2) How can they charge so much?

versus

I personally prefer the fabric the players wear but christ £89.99??

England RU have about 4 official Nike home shirts from the players shirt to a basic £40 shirt... it's no problem at all. If you want the shirt buy it - we've always had replica shirts just that players shirts cost more to manufacture and the demand is low and are virtually a new thing to the market.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I don't think you should feel ripped off. I suppose its a choice of what fabric you prefer. In previous posts it seem a lot of people prefer the baggy fit. Helps hiding the larger and the pies

I just think that £89 for a fitted type is expensive and just wondered why Wigan don't sell them directly? I personally prefer the fitted but wont pay that. Maybe more expensive to make but £89!!! I think that's just a big mark up personally. I'll stick with the normal shirt and get it via Wigan directly.

They've done this laods in the past. If yu wnat a playing standard kit with double stitching etc you pay about twice what the replica costs. Its a lot higher quality than it needs to be if you just want to wear it to matches. I don't think its disgracefull at all - whats the problem?

this is the standard for other sports - NFL and other american sports opperate in this way with a range of shirt types (replica, authentic, special edition) and i've seen it done in football for world cup shirts before.

We know that these days the shirt we get sin't the same as the high tech things the players get. It all then depends on whether you're happy with a cheaper replica or to pay more for a closer version to what the players get.

Football always do it... the shirts used by players, especially Nike clubs like United and Arsenal, are much lighter to wear, it actually feels like you aren't wearing anything at all! You can shine a light at the bottom and it'd be like seeing light come out from a sieve (if you get me) - very high quality.

I think for rugby, the type of person who'd buy a match standard shirt will do so for either a collective motive or they are very toned and confident to wear it

If I wore one it'd probably look like a covered rice crispie cake... I struggle to find clothing at the best of times:
