The RFL cant top his wages up BUT, they introduced the new rule about the elite England Players wages so that we could pay him more and still be under the cap (and he got a job on Sky Sports to top his wages up further).

Is this TV distraction good for Sam as a player at WWRLFC.

Sam is a lovely lad, knows the game of Rugby League, but I just dont think he has the outgoing personality to be a TV pundit at this time in his playing career.
Lets hope it doesnt affect the way he plays.

I cant see it effecting him. Sam has ego make no mistake about it and i for one think that is a basic requirement for a special player. Players like Slater, lockyer etc all have a big ego, while they may not go around giving it the big I AM, on the pitch they do things others wouldnt because they believe they are good enough to pull it off, they hit gaps harder because they believe no-one is good enough to stop them doing what they want to do.

We're all human, these things happen unfortunately. Not that I'm condoning it at all, but at the end of the day it does go one. I wouldn't have thought it would be with a team mate's wife / girlfriend but that doesn't make it any better.

Having said that, it doesn't make him a bad person either. It takes two to tango and this thing happens all the time. Again, not that I'm condoning it.
