If you'd written this as a script for a boys comic it would be thought too far fetched to publish. Laughable really.
Re: Widnes v Wigan
Worst aspect of this cock-up has to be the defence. We conceded two tries in a minute at the end of the first half and three in 9 minutes half way through the second.
I don't blame the youngsters but Widnes were clearly blowing us away at times. We also didn't score a single point from the 49th minute to the end. What an un-Wigan like shambles.
Shaun's team selection was guaranteed to fire up Widnes and all their ex-Wiganers - Marsh, Allen, Briscoe, Davies and a certain D. Betts Esquire.
SW really should apologise to Lenagan, us and even the team.

Was at the game absolutely ridicules to put so many youngsters in to one game, don't for get we already have youngster in filling in for injuries. Shaun Wayne Massively under estimated Widnes he should hang his head in shame not the youngsters fault they were out of there depth, but how can the few first team players that were left be expected to cover so many youngsters.
And the ref appalling again messing with his ear piece all match made massive mistakes, they were never square and never on side we had two players out cold and he just kept playing.

Latics managed a draw, but they were playing a full team. Do the fans a big favour SW, start with an apology and finishes with a promise you will never have another senior moment

I am absolutely fuming, £40 plus petrol to go and watch the reserves against a Widnes team with 4 or 5 fired up Wigan lads in it.
Wane needs a massive bollocking IMO.
I was all for resting one or two,but we had ONE THIRD of the reserves playing today !!!!!!
Enough said before I say something I regret when I have calmed down.

I was tearing my hair out in that second half, I thought Finch played really well for us, our MOM in my opinion. There was more than 7500 on as well (I was in the east stand), we had as many supporters as Widnes did. I just dont know what to say.
I always knew that I liked this place, you don't have to look to far to find a friendly face, I feel alive when I'm walking on this street, I feel the heart of this city pounding underneath my feet, yeah if the world keeps spinning round and round this is were it all goes down, down, down, THAT'S WHY I LOVE THIS TOWN!.

Are you on a different planet Cherry.Pie or are you Nobby in disguise??
Rather finish 8th?? C'mon get real!
Supposw with team selection like today though, you may get your wish!
Nothing wrong with "blooding" the youngsters - but not all at once in all the pivotal positions.
Now means SW has to field a full strength side against Broncos to avoid further embarrassment and to re-buile momentum ahead of the Wire game.
This will risk injuries ahead of an important game now - totally unecessary and brought about by (for the second time) SW underestimating his oposition.

Hanley i understand you did'nt go to the match while Cherry Pie did, take a little time to read his post again but this time more carefully instead of comming out with you're ill judged remarks.
Re: Widnes v Wigan
Heard interview with Wane a short time ago. Not a word of apology for his arrogance or total lack of respect for Wigan fans or the entire Widnes club. He even said he would do the same again, indicating that he not only failed to learn from Huddersfield but learned nothing from today. He at no stage of the interview accepted any responsibility which disappointed me. I thought he was a bigger man than that. At one stage he actually referred to "weaker teams" and then hastily corrected himself.
I rang my son before kick off when I heard the team selection
and said we could be in trouble.
I'll bet we don't have any debutants next week.
