I don`t care about his oral skills as long as we keep those trophies coming.
We seem to be better in attack than last year but poorer in defence .
Give the lad a chance he has made a mistake at Widnes , but show me someone who hasn`t ? .
At least he`s a Wiganer .
SW?
Re: SW?
God how I hate these type of posts!Six games into the season and here we go again. How can we possibly judge the man until the seasons end? From what is your starting point when asking this kind of question? The fact that we have lost two games and shipped some points that on any other day we would not have done so.Because if you are asking the question based around these factors then one just as to look at the whino's past season and then look at the end result. No doubt some of the whino supporters asked the same question. And no doubt are now protesting innocence.Hold onto your nerve and give the man a chance to put things right.I was just as angry as most supporters when we lost to Hudds and Widnes but I will give him the chance he so rightly deserved until at least the end of the season when he will either justify the faith or not.Remember we are Wigan Warriors and not the stains who are in a panic situation and have acted accordingly.Panic Panic Panic.

Re: SW?
I agree with those that have already said the reason for wanting Wane in was because he had trained under Madge. Surely the idea is that the winning ways of the previous regime continue.
Would I want an executive to move up a grade and not change anything? If the concern was successful? Definitely!
Wane has definitely reduced our defensive capability, and that worries me greatly.
Yes I want to be entertained, but not if it means losing. An entertaining loss does not bring trophies to Wigan.
An ugly win may well do.
The reason Wigan were hated for the last two seasons are easy to see, not because of chicken wing tackles, I don't think we were guilty of that more than any other side, nor because of third man in tackles, everyone makes them now, because they copied us.
The reason other fans hated us is because WE WERE SUCCESSFUL AGAIN!
Unfortunately, I think fewer people will hate us this year, and that shouldn't be the case.
We should be top of SL now, and being grateful we are in third doesn't sit well with me. We are not top because of the decisions of Shaun Wane in his team choice at Widnes, and the fact that his reasons for that selection keep changing does not fill me with confidence

Well that's not hard....First Try Tickle wrote:Sorry CP, but you've lost me.cpwigan wrote: Well Razzle dazzle as you show re Wire might be great but it can far more readily pear shaped.

What he means is that fans want to see entertainment and excitement because sport is now built up to be exactly that, the 'Wide to West' moments etc. All Madge wanted to do was win and he choreographed a way of giving Wigan the best and safest way to win and avoid points being scored against us. Yes Shaun Wane wants to win every game but he also wants the players to play with a bit of flair and express themselves and here lies the difference.
Example: Would you cross a Railway line when the lights were flashing but the barriers weren't down and risk it or would you wait for the barriers to come down, the train to pass, the lights to stop, the barrier to go up and then cross when it was safe to do so? Madge played no nonsense get the job done Rugby, minimising the the risk of dropping the ball and letting in cheap Try's, Wane wants them to throw the ball about which is good but more passes means more opportunities for dropped balls means more opportunities for the opposition to score.
Wane seems to want to do that put also play fast paced balls out attacking rugby which may or may not come off, I hope it does, I really do and I am a massive fan of the passion and drive that Shaun Wane has, as far as knowledge and technical mindsets go though in my opinion Wayne Bennett and Bellamy are the only ones on the same level as Madge.
Up The Mont!
Re: SW?
I'm confused also. Bellamy's Storm are a fantastic attacking side who take plenty of risks with what you'd consider to be risky rugby. It's just that they are so well trained, they have become experts and tend to pull these moves off.TonyH wrote:Well that's not hard....First Try Tickle wrote:Sorry CP, but you've lost me.cpwigan wrote: Well Razzle dazzle as you show re Wire might be great but it can far more readily pear shaped.![]()

If SW is striving to bring this to Wigan then surely it's a good thing.
Re: SW?
leave the lad alone , he is WIGAN RLFC through and through and deserves a decent chance to succeed or fail. I for one would love him to succeed but to call him at this stage is way to early lets see how the season progresses.
Fridays game will be a good yard stick as to our ability to tackle top teams
