I am one of those people on the site who called for Luauki to be given a chance. But the more I see of him the more my opinion of him as changed.Unfortunately he only got the two game ban.In my opinion it should have been at the very least a season ban as he's become what most people feared a penalty machine. Now Wane will not have the option of giving him more game time than Lima thank god.

Not true, the verdict of the panel was that Westwood connected with Trent Waterhouse and broke his nose, no rule about hitting your own player so he was still done for striking an 'opponent' Should be an interesting place the Wire dressing room.stegy wrote:Lauaki gets a two game ban for a dangerous tackle no real intent to use fore arm just a poor tackle. Then that prat Westwood runs a good 20 meters and deliberatley throws and connects with a punch to the head of a Wigan player, tottally pre meditated and he only gets a one game ban. Maybe if he had knocked his head off he would have been let off all together

I was hoping for a much longer ban! Keep this muppet away from the team for as long as possible.FROM A TO B wrote:thought he got away lightly with a 2 match ban, I'm sure had it been the other way around we would be baying for blood!

I agree and have said so ever since it started. It is just a cop out for referees and servers absolutely no purpose. Even if players are not placed on report because something is missed they can still be cited later and incidents can still be looked at by the RFL so the on report thing really is a complete waste of time.josie andrews wrote:I think the "On Report" rule is one rule all fans would like to be done away with.
Re: How the hell can this be fair ?
There is no point putting players on report as it doesn't penalise the offending team at the time of the incident. Indeed it usually proves beneficial to subsequent opposition teams if an offence is cconfirmed and that may well be to the detriment of the team offended against.

Exactly the point people are making, and not only that, if you have a squad with suffucient depth, a 1 or 2 match ban can easily be overcome with simple sqaud rotation, so the offending team may not even be affected. It's a terrible rule, that needs revoking.

Just heard some very interesting comments on BBC radio Manchester from Tony Smith. He gets nervious when Wire are on the TV as players get banned more when they are televised. In other words, he's not going to stop the likes of Morley and Westwood throwing cheap shots, just hope they don't get caught doing it on camera!
