Gaz Hock was exemplary today. Despite the pathetic attempts by the stains players to wind him up and get him to react, he didn't and let his play do the talking.

Have yourself a little minute or two reading Redvee.com, there's dozens of the fools on there, all as daft as this turkey.

What a win, absolutely fantastic. The best Wigan win under the circumstances since we beat Saints in 2003 (I think it was that year?). The first 20 mins of the 2nd half seemed like 2 hours though!

Alas or :) the Saints troll was typical of some Saints fans not all coming out of the ground, not all BUT some. Even, the rational Saints fans were LOL at their stupidity. Oddly one came out with the nonsense our troll is spouting here.
I agree, an absolutely fantastic win.

dave the saint wrote:What a load of wigan tosh, saints players winding hock up. You need to go and see the doctor my little wigan pie head. He wrote the rule book on how to try and wind up players. I was hoping for some better and more intelligent replies from you lot but alas that's like trying to draw blood from a stone.

You can take the pies out of wigan but you cant take the numpty out of wigan.

Good Luck to Mike and Keiron for this season, look forward to round 2 with the meat heads from Wigan at the magic weekend.

I would be asking why my players could not play for their ex coach, their club, their fans AND suddenly transformed themselves for 2 games?

I would be asking are my players good enough given their lack of effort for first Simmons and now for such an historic derby match? Perhaps this is why they have lost 5 successive GFs?

It is historic, Saints lost the last derby at KR, the first at LP THAT MATTERS. Bit like 27-0 at Wembley Matters not 70+ in a meaningless League game or the end of season carnival that sees Saints take the P out their own fans NOT once, NOT Twice BUT 5 TIMES

Most of all you should be kissing our feet and thanking us. ANY self respecting Saints fan knows that St Helens Recs were the premier RL club in St Helens and that St Helens were totallyy reliant on the gate receipts from the derby v us and then Recs for their survival JUST like Judas Gary & Platty & WIDAN saved Saints again. ST HELENS EXIST BECAUSE OF WIGAN.

Back under your stone; know nothing boy/girl

I cannot be arsed responding to the troll invader or lowering myself to his level so I will just stick with what I saw.Over the last four years I have been required to work the Good Fridays and consequently it means I am unable to attend the game. All afternoon I have resisted the urge to look at the score as I sky + the game and on my return from work sat down and watched the game. And by god what a game! Our movement across the field was awesome.Defence utterly fantastic. From Dudson to Hock. Tomkins to Finch.Hansen,Prescott, all played a part to be commended.I was fearing the worst most of the week but it turns out I need not have bothered as the desire and intensity to win was more profound from the Wigan players than the stains lot.I could go on and on about the merits of all the players and the off loads from Hock and Finch etc but I will just say that I am one happy bunny tonight and my pint of speckled hen will taste all the sweeter.Bloody well done lads. :eusa2: :eusa2: Oh yes.Just in case the troll is still with us let me just say this :lol1: :lol1: :tong1:

Well said. Lets talk about the match not feeding the sore loser.

I too had feared the worst. I felt it was just our luck for Saints to find some form in time for this game and we have hardly been consistent ourselves especially in defence so this is a great win especially given who we had out.

As to Hock I am certain the Saints players will have sledged him and why wouldn't they? It is part of the game and if any side has someone viewed as likely to lose it coaches and players are smart enough to try and get them to throw a wobbly. The fact Hock kept his cool and played as he did is great to see, a credit to the player and must have a few teams worried. A fully focused Hock minus brain farts will be very good.
