Warriors coach Shaun Wane believes Hock should play for his country again.
He said: "If I was in Steve Mac's position I'd be looking at Gaz. And the good thing is he's far from the finished article."
Wane's found an interesting way of motivating Hock and the rest of his team which was revealed by centre Anthony Gelling.
Gelling said: "Physicality comes first and you've got to show aggression all the time.
"He (Wane) is into the old school aspects, like inflicting pain on your opponents.
"There's a video that he got us watching about how he wants to defend and it was this video of these wild dogs that chase this deer through the bush.
"They run it down, there's about three of them, and they're all hanging off the back of it and they start ripping the meat off it.
"This thing's still alive and they're ripping shreds of meat off it.
"He gets us to watch that and he's like 'this is how we are going to defend!'"
Next time you see Hock and two of his teammates hanging off the back of some poor unfortunate opposing forward, you'll know why.
