Firstly, does anyone know when the draw is for the next round of the cup???
I was recently asked when Wigan played one of the big boys at home in the cup so i looked into it...
2011
CCR4 - Barrow H
CCR5 - Bradford A
CCQF - Wire A
2010
R4 - Sheffield A
R5 - Widnes A
QF - Leeds A
2009
R4 - Barrow A
R5 - Wakefield A
QF - Salford H
2008
R4 - Pia H
R5 - Whitehaven H
QF - Leeds A
2007
R4 - Widnes A
R5 - Leeds A
QF - Quins H
Before I go any further. The last game in the cup where Wigan played A top four team at home in the cup was against saints in the 1998 season.
Therefore the answer is 14 years since we played a decent team at home in the cup.
However, for the last few seasons our away record has been better than at home. Assuming we beat NWC who would people want in the next round. This might be the best time to get Wire or Saints as they only like playing in Dubai climates.
Assuming games go to form I would expect to see the following 16 teams in the hat...
Leeds
Cas
Saints
Warrington
Wigan
Catalans
Hull
Bradford
London
Salford
South wales or halifax
Swinton or Gateshead
Hunslet or Batley
Leigh or Rochdale
Oldham or Barrow
York or Sheffield

Re: Challenge cup
The draw will probably be next wednesday morning 2.35am on BBC Radio Monmouthshire
But yeh, we haven't had a big games for many a year I think we are long overdue. Saying that, we can take anyone at the DW in the Cup
