Well in my opinion it isn't 'that' bad compared to other things... if there was an allegation of drug use or a criminal offence then it'd be worse. Still defamation of character but as long as it is removed and Mr Hock (or Gaz) isn't bothered then leave it at that.



The Swansea University student who tweeted about Muamba owned up and it was clearly his computer (in his room in his dorm or whatever) and that was very serious. This case is just an idiot with time on their hands. Anyway, who would search for Hock on wikipedia anyway?

Fair enough but it's much more complicated than that, certainly if one were to try and secure a successful prosecution against someone.

If someone had committed some kind of illegal act using your computer without your knowledge then I'm sure that you'd have something to say should the Police or a solicitor come knocking.
You may be accountable but it doesn't make you responsible for the illegal act, whatever that may be.

And to my mind while Gaz may feel aggrieved that this has gone onto Wikipedia, it will be removed. And it's hardly crime of the century.

And while I'm on the subject, I am currently staying in a rented holiday cottage in Wales, along with 9 others. With us we have three lap tops and two iphones, all using the Wi-Fi so graciously provided by the owner of the property.

It illustrates the point that as evidence, an IP address really isn't everything.

And I have to agree that it would technically constitute a section 5 but very doubtful that it'll ever be proven.

I am willing to stand corrected though. Let's see how the club get on as this sort of stuff shouldn't really be tolerated.
