Again I make my point the onus is not on us, the RFL when negotiating any broadcasting rights contract should stipulate choice of matches is subject to ground availability.

Something as simple as that would stop a mess like this occurring again, the RFL should get their own house in order before pointing fingers elsewhere.
It really is that simple

However, we are talking the RFL the same organisation that told us a few ghost HGVs was worthy far more than real money when accepting a sponsorship deal for its premier competition.

CP, that Stobart deal has really got under your skin! :)
Returning to your other point, its my view that the matches are given priority over all other considerations. These should be organised and agreed by the teams involved. Then, and only then should the broadcasters become involved.

I make an exception for Sky because I know how they occasionally need to switch KO times but to the best of my knowledge, the venue has never been changed to accommodate them!

But does it matter what other sport shares the ground with which sports team? The argument is fixtures being played at home on corresponding dates - which will surely become more prevalent should the number of clubs sharing grounds increase. If the RFL continue to bury their heads in the sands over this then this issue will become worse and could in all probability see serious disruption to the competition

That statement is a load of rubbish that leaves Lenegan and Whelan smeeling of roses whilst they heap blame on the RFL.

Have you forgotten that we had to play at Widnes against Bradford because Sky wouldn't allow us to play OUR home tie on the Sunday?

That wasn't Sky who wouldn't allow us to play at home. It was Whelan.

I thought it was because sky wouldn't move our fixture to Sunday, Latics were playing at home on Saturday. :doz:

We had one play off game at home. Whelan wouldn't let us have it.

Sky wouldn't allow us to move it to the Sunday and the one being played on the Sunday moved to the Friday. Whelan said that if more notice had been given to allow the stadium to be turned around for the latics game then there would have been no problem playing on the Friday.
