i still believe with a bit of luck we will turn over one of the top teams as well as beat afew around us . i was a bit down when i started this thread last night but i have said all along i thought hull where a very good team and we had our chances to beat them
Re: next win
Our next win, How about next Saturday :doz:
Can live in hope can we, other than that Leigh away, then we have a good chance in at least 2 of our next 3 home games.

I wouldn't back this load of coal with 30 start for the next 2 weeks and would only take scratch for the Leigh game! The Bruce posted:

Re: next win
You must be joking if you think 2 wins will instantly turn this season into a successful one. Irrespective of what happens from here on in - and I include winning the CC - this season has been the worst since I started watching Wigan over 20 yrs ago.think possitive win our next two games ,well be safe from relegation and in the semis of the challenge cup and then well all forget what as gone on the rest of the season
I have never felt so down about my team, nor angry with the management for getting us into this situation.
Someone will now come back and blame the injuries, but there is more to it than that. Someone at the club must have believed Beswick, Allen, Melling, Colbon, Aspinwall, Brown, Prescott, Hargreaves, etc were ready to be used, either regularly in Aspy and Browns case or as back up. This is obviously not the case.
Who the hell decided Seu Seu would be better than Terry O this season? Was Davico fully checked out before we signed him? Was our plan to take on Leeds, Saints, etc with a second row of Hock (good potential but a lot of development needed), Tickle (average ability but looking good in our poor side until Friday) and Lockers, with backup chosen from Hansen, Wild, Allen or Beswick? The Hull side had Thackray and Carvell on the bench!!
As for the Farrell fiasco, that is now history, as is the fact that we started the season seriously underprepared physically.
You make your own luck, but I agree they must keep their heads up. They are extremely fragile - you can see them wilt as soon as a try is scored.lift your heads up lads keep going and your luck will change think possitive and youll come good, come on i really beleive we played alot better as a team yesterday a big improvement allreay on the rest of the season
I too thought we performed better last time out but Moran is trying to do everything due to the lack of input from Brown and Orr. At this point someone normally blames the pack for going backwards. This may not help the half backs, but Darren Lockyer would still shine if the pack left the field!!
We will exit the cup against Saints and will finish 6th-9th. We cannot dismantle the team totally due to contracts, so I don't expect anything better than 4th-7th next year either unless Basil can walk on water.
