:eusa4: lets not keep going on about the salary cap. The only thing wrong with it is the fact in the past our club has miss managed it

Well it's not perfect that is for sure but I doubt Leeds will be involved in challenging it. It was Hethrington at Leeds who was the chief architect of the current flat rate cap and was instrumental in having it set at 1.8 million quid when smaller clubs wanted it at 1.3 million.

Coincidentally with the cap at 1.8 million Leeds didn't have to shed any players or require a dispensation for a season to honour current contracts as Wigan did.

He said himself at the time only one club would be affected so he is pretty wedded to the idea of the salary cap if oyu ask me.

If you listen to ML so is he up to a point. What he doesn't like is the 20/20 so maybe that is the issue to be challenged.

ITS ABOUT BLOODY TIME.

Why should we have to pay the same amount on wages when brining in a lot more money than the Wolves, Giants, Vikings, Centurions.

This should be challenged asap.

No whats wrong with it is that teams who are just about finacially viable can compete with teams who bring in more into the game.

Why should we be on the same level playing field as the Vikings.

We have bigger Attendances
We have bigger Revenue from Merchandise

Why should we pay the same as them on wages each year. That does not happen in any other sport in Europe. If its ok in your mind than how come the Broncos can bring in more foreigners than any one else. The cap is bent for some but for the clubs who still keep the game alive they get punished.

And by the way because of the cap and 20/20 ruling we could be relegated come September.

To be honest it want go that far. Any threat of legal action will see it dropped. Everyone knows its illegal and the governing body i do not think could afford to go further than the Lords here once ot goed to Europe then its going to cost millions more than likely.

We and the Rhinos only need to pull resources and take this on and i gurantee by next season it will be gone.
