FFS, I am fuming and ruined my fathers day, the other thing with it is Tommy is a current international he doesn't even need to be playing in that joke of a game. Finally I could just smash McNamara all over the show, he is a first class muppet that will never take this Englsnd side anywhere other than down, fool!!

Gutted for Tommy, gutted for Wigan.

Pissed off that it happened in such a stupid fixture.

Was a massive fan of Tommy's, and hope he recovers fully and has a successful career down under. The rest of the lads will have to do the treble for him now.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

But that's the point. He will probably win the next one against another scratch team where coaches have seen the light and declare their key players 'injured'. Then he will beat France and Wales.

It's devastating news if that is Tommy done. The commitment to stop a try being scored is testament to his character. Awful way to end a successful Wigan career.

It is a tragedy, but it is wrong to dismiss the fixture entirely, this year of all years. If Sam and others like him are to stay in our game, we need to place greater emphasis on the international game, and the long term future of the game in this country, including Wigan, depends on our ability to put on good World Cups. We cannot play better opposition this year, and so need these games.
Having accepted that we need these games, the one thing I do not agree with is scrapping the 2 players a club rule from last year (not hat would have meant Tommy did not play). I also do not see why we need 2 games and to hold the second one mid week is insane. I would certainly withdraw as many players as we can get away with for that one.
Tommy is a great man and has been a very good player for us, and it is awful that it looks like we will not see him playing for us again.
We now have 3 games before the semi to work out the best structure without him. Maybe bring Russell back, maybe move Sam forward, maybe bring Mellor back, maybe move Lockers. In a way, this allows to learn more about life after Tommy earlier than we hoped. I believe we will adjust and have a winning formula by the time we play Leeds.

Tommy is a huge loss AND if correct the END of his Wigan career in a very unsatisfactory manner.

Everything that needed to be said has been said already, but I feel the need to vent my spleen!! Tommy has always been one of my favourite players and I was sad when I heard he was leaving at the end of the season. To now have maybe lost him before the end of the season, with all the important trophy winning games still to come, makes me feel sick inside. He is such an important player for us, particularly when the chips are down and some inspiration is needed. It would have been bad enough if it had happened in a Wigan game or even a New Zealand test match, but in such a useless, meaningless waste of space as that game beggars belief. Someone earlier said England need these games to give players international experience....RUBBISH, they are nothing more than money making non-entity games for our dearly loved RFL. For all our sakes Waney keep our players out of the next one, and tell Red Hall to sod off.
There, I feel a bit better now!!

I agree wholeheartedly. All clubs, but expecially Wigan, will hopefully tell the architects of this game, SLY TV, to stick it. The game is a farcical attempt to create spectacle and drama where none exist.
