We have 3 games to get either joe mellor or even one of the younger HBs into the team .... We need to atleast give joe mellor a go he's been biting at heels of the first team for touching 3 years

I really do hope so, would really like to send Tommy off on a high :)

Hope it was an eminent ankle surgeon that said it Josie :)
Hope also that if he is back by then that we just play him as a fond farewell and to wish him all the best simply because we have already got a great replacement already playing for us
Time for the famous #25 shirt to make an appearance? It has served us well for the last 3 seasons! :D
I hope Joe gets a shot now!

There could be a silver lining Joe or Sam P could really step up to the plate and solve a few dilemmas for next season, 2 awesome prospects pre injury .....

This is precisely what I thought as soon as I saw how bad Tommy's injury looked.
IL might just see something that saves him £300K.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

I said it was just a whisper :)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

im with you on this, its defo the better option than playing Lockers at 6.

Lockers is the best loose forward in super league, we cant lose that quality there!!!!!!!

He is but it's a decision based around what's best for the team and I for one would be happy if Lockers played 6 next season if it came to it. For me, he's certainly a better option than spending daft money on Chase (despite what I may have said about Chase before).
The negative is that whoever replaces Lockers at 13 would not be as good a LF but then no one really is. Having said that, Faz would do a good job and having both him and Lockers on the field simultaneously would certainly bolster the defence.
The other thing is that Lockers has one of the best passes in the game. I certainly have no worries over his ability to distribute the ball or take on the line.
His kicking game isn't up to much but that's why we've got Finch and Sam on the field.
With the glut of back row players we have, I really don't think it's a bad option for the rest of the season.

And according to Twitter and Phil Wilkinson, TOMMY WILL PLAY AGAIN FOR WIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently Wane has said that the scans were nothing like as bad as first thought and it could be a return in 8 weeks.
Possibly the CC final if we get that far.

God I hope this is true.
