Bradford Enter Administration
Re: Bradford Enter Administration
Here is a thread form rlfans on the buls site:
http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php? ... 1340736430
An interesting if depressing read. When Adeybull is as hacked off as he is with the protagonists you know its bad. He is a long time Bull's supported always been involved with the club.
As is said in t that thread Caisley has always been a major shareholder yet seemingly sat by and let the old board wreck the club. Now he is in control its gone into administration.
This all looks mighty fishy to me!

Re: Bradford Enter Administration
The Bulls fan's opinions seem pretty much that this is the case.
This news is no surprise when you are at home games and the bars arent stocked and they cant afford refreshment vans you see the writing on the wall. Nobody wanted the old board back as they have a vested interest in administration being the largest creditor and also agent to the best players. Double standards springs to mind
I am totaly gutted i have supported the club since 1964 as many others I pledged like many other supporters i feel we have been conned by this board promising not to go into administration and the previous board not telling the truth These people if an investor comes forward should not be allowed any where near the club I wish all the best to the players that go they have given there all and to the staff that have worked many hour for free to try and keep the club afloat I do hope we can retain some of the players if investment is found but i believe the top rated players will be sold to the highest bidder

If Bradford fold ?
I don't think many people want to see Bradford fold i know i don't it would be a sad day and not great for our great game. However my question is this what do people on here think of Wigan taking either Sammut or Jefferies short term until the end of the season just as cover.
Re: If Bradford fold ?
Sorry forgot to say of the two i would prefer Jeffries because of his kicking and the fact he seems to be able to unlock a tight defence but only my opinion. I would prefer to say bring back Mellor but the he may benefit from game time at Widnes.
Re: Bradford Enter Administration
I believe Caisley is a major preferential creditor so will be one to benefit from Bulls going into administration in that he gets his money or some of it. Probably pocketing that £500K (if it hasn't already been spent).TWO EYED WARRIOR wrote:Sounds like a very politically motivated pre-pack has been on the cards all along.
I reckon once it is clear that hmrc and other sizeable creditors wont attend the creditors meeting then the cash will appear for the assets etc.
The "audit" requested by caisley is just a front imo and it was eveident that he had a good insolvency practioner in tow.
I find hard to believe that caisley as a shareholder didnot know extent of the financial problems as part of the major shareholder he knew exactly what he was doing.
The recently deposed directors are nothing more than scapegoats
Whatever, I think Caisley is certainly a man with a plan.
I was pleased when he seemingly ceased to be involved in RL some years ago because he is IMO right up there with Hethrington as someone who is not good generally for RL. He was never shy to use his legal expertise to further Bradford's interests which allowed them to field almost an entire team of overseas players at one point. He makes Uncle Mo's running of Wigan look whiter than white.

Say the worst happens though (and i hope it doesn't) and bradford fold in 10 days whatever and they cannot complete any further fixtures, what then?
What happens to the people who are meant to play them or the points from folk who already played them? has this ever happened before mid-season where we could state precedent?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
Re: Bradford Enter Administration
According to the RFL, they'll be able to carry on until the end of the season and then their Superleague licence will be reviewed. How they'd pay the players and staff for the rest of the year is beyond me though.

It's all very fishy and I hope a complete and thorough investigation is carried out. Not that I'd expect anything to come of it, unfortunately. It's in situations like this where the perpetrators often get away scot free via a series of legal loop holes.

Yes he does.TWO EYED WARRIOR wrote: Dave, the man with a plan is about right, Caisley will lose the money he put into the club directly, if it was ever there, he would only benefit either by picking up the assets on the cheap, am i right in saying he handles a lot of the players interests off the field ?
Yes he would. If he does, he will make a killing flogging players off to various clubs if it comes down to that of course.
The ego's certainly seem to have got in the way of a solution that would have prevented them going into administration. If he succeeds i will be the first to congrtaulate him and im sure some of the Bulls fans will do the same but i sense there is nothing more than ego and face saving going on at the moment.
As was pointed out in a post on rlfans in that link I gave, Caisley's side painted a bad picture of the club publicly which undermined efforts from the old board to raise money.
It is as if he wanted to scare potential investors off. If he didn't then he wasn't very bright (which we know isn't the case) because that would have been the effect.

The whole board are/were a disgrace not one of them should get away with this shambles. They have nothing, ground sold, players are not worth much what else can they sell. The administrator has said 17 player out of contract at the end of the season which lowers the players' price.
Why would anybody want to buy Bradford Bulls? I wouldn't. I hope someone is daft enough to do it
The RFL should take some responsibility in this to they supposedly reviewed the books when giving out licenses. What books were they looking at? and who was looking at them?
