I can't say that we deserved to win because defensively we were so poor but (and I know it won't happen) - if Thaler is appointed to referee us again this year - the club should protest.

The forward pass missed - the bizarre penalty given when Hall offloaded and the play on when McGuire knocked on is just sheer incompetence.

As the clock ticks down I have to vent some of my anger somewhere so here goes.

Firstly, we did deserve to lose the game. We weren't good enough.
Sam T sometimes has to remember that he's just a rugby player and doesn't have God's gift. He's good but he made two absolute clangers at the start of the game which really set the tone.
We were also terrible in defence and looked second best all game. It's simply down to our class (in bits) that allowed us to be as close as we were.

However……. We lost by 11 points and there is no doubt that three of their tries should have been disallowed and Thaler made a point of penalising us out of the game and not going to the video ref when he should. There is a real argument that says that he cost us the game, statistically.

The whole game was a f*****g nightmare and I haven't been this angry about a loss for ages.
Leeds were good but Wigan were God awful. It shows how average they are that they couldn't kill us, which they should have done today.

Oh well. The league it is then. It will galvanise us and we wil come back stronger. If ever I had a case for dismantling the Exiles game it's now. Lulu has been a massive loss and he might have been the difference today.

Pains me to say but well done Leeds. They did deserve it. Kills me though!!

I agree with that, we didn't deserve to win, but on another day with a different ref it would have been very tight. The knock on try really took our momentum away in the second half.

I know the ball steal penalty is probably the other 6 points you mean, but what's the third decision you're thinking of?

Agree about the Exiles farce, the only thing it's achieved is allow the chasing pack to reel us in with the injuries to Tommy and Josh.

Don't even know why we're having a tournament when we all know that it will be the Aussies and Kiwis who'll reach the WC final again.

Next year we should tell the RFL to stuff their Exiles games after the good it's done us this past few weeks.

I'm not one for blaming refs as the ref didn't drop the ball for the first try or allow the 40/20 to go out of touch, and I know we wasn't on our game BUT the referee was absolutely shocking. its not always the best team who wins so I'm not having the Leeds were the better side so they deserve it - take away the shocking decisions and we win. Big game shit ref.

Blinkered view. We gave away 12 points in the first five minutes. Never done that before. Cost us the game!

Completely agree only try you can blame the ref is the one that Maguire knocked on. I think he gets a call from the touch-judge judge for the ball steal as he waved play on. Fact is Sam Tomkins made 2 huge errors and cost us 12 points. Good point he will not do that again or Wane will skull....k him.

Jack H - Halls foot in touch?
I don't mind losing to a better team on the day, but to have 18 points gifted to the opposition in a nonsense.
Had I been the Wigan coach I would have taken mt players off the pitch in protest.

Completely agree. The wheels have come off since the Exiles game and I don't think Wane has dealt with it very well at all.

The Leeds fans on rlfans were going on about the "Rugby Gods" when Tommy got injured and they were right. That game has cost us big time IMO.

I thought we looked very nervous right from the kick off and never played our game.

Maybe the intensity of Wayne's build up to big games puts too much pressure and meaning on the result and causes the players to freeze? It certainly looked like they had frozen.
